Welcome to the academic home page of Steven Rogers, a graduate student of Politics at Princeton University. I study American politics and elections. Starting this fall, I will be a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions at Vanderbilt University.

In my research, I evaluate the extent to which elections serve as a mechanism for accountability and representation in American legislatures. My dissertation addresses the question: do elections hold state legislators accountable for their own performance, and my published work can be found in Legislative Studies Quarterly, PS: Political Science & Politics, and the American Journal of Political Science (forthcoming).

As a hobby, I run the fan web site devoted to the Saint Louis University Men's Basketball team. Always feel free to drop me a line about political science but don't hesitate to talk about the Billikens.
